Through this programme, the artists explore the timeless beauty of Baroque, Classical, and Romantic works, with a particular focus on the pure expression of joy – la gioia – and the power of human connection through music.
The cello, rich in its warm and profound tone, engages in a dialogue with the voice, which rises, soft yet powerful, bringing to life melodies that vibrate with emotion. Een prachtige sopraan, ontroerend cello spel en een unieke samenklank, dat is wat Duo La Gioia ten gehore brengt. De Belgische Clotilde van Dieren en Edmond Carlier geven een intiem concert van uitzonderlijke klasse. Zij heeft een prachtige warme stem en weet met haar uitstraling en acteertalent de schoonheid van de muziek perfect over te brengen. Hij, een veel gevraagd cellist en solist bij het Symfonie Orkest van de Brusselse Muntschouwburg, komt met Clotilde tot een subliem samenspel in originele arrangementen. Zij noemen zich niet voor niets Duo La Gioia, de muziekvreugde straalt er bij deze topmusici van af.
